Education
Dr. Wendy Shultz Spektor graduated with honors from the University of Texas and received her Doctorate in Dentistry from the University of Washington in 1982. A true believer in continuing dental education, Dr. Spektor devotes many hours each year both to learning and to sharing her own expertise, all while maintaining a thriving, full-time practice.
Professional Affiliations
Dr. Spektor is immediate past president of the Seattle chapter of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity. Concerned about issues that affect dentistry and health care, she has served the Washington State Dental Association as an Action Team Leader for their grassroots program since 2001. She is a member of the Seattle King County Dental Society, Washington State Dental Association, American Academy of Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Association of Women Dentists and the International Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Engagement History
Dr. Spektor’s speaking engagements have included the Alpha Omega International Convention in New York in 2002, and in 2003, she presented a program for both the University of Washington Continuing Dental Education Department and the Washington State Dental Association Annual Meeting. Dr. Spektor was a featured speaker at the 2004 Florida Regional Alpha Omega Summer Meeting in Alaska, and presented at the Alpha Omega International Convention in Florida in December the following year. Most recently she lectured in Israel at The Hebrew University—Hadassah School of Dental Medicine and gave a presentation to the Tel-Aviv Alpha Omega Chapter. Dr. Spektor is scheduled to lecture for the University of Washington Continuing Dental Education Department in 2007 and she also regularly speaks at various study club and hygiene association meetings.
Personal
Dr. Spektor is passionate about practicing dentistry. She believes all dentistry can and should support sound oral health and look good. Dr. Spektor and her husband Michael, also a dentist, live on Mercer Island in Washington state. They have two grown sons. In 2005, the Spektors were featured by the University of Washington in an Alumni Profile and were also honored by Hadassah for their involvement in community both in the U.S. and abroad. Dr. Spektor is involved with many community organizations including Washington Women in Need, American Association of University Women and the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
